We  have one automated plunge freezer for vitrifying specimens, Leica GP2 plunger, and one high vacuum coating system for a wide rango of applications, Leica EM AC600 .

The EM GP2 use single-sided blotting, providing flexibility in sample preparation. The EM GP2 plunge freezes fluid or extremely thin simples spread on an electron microscopy grid into liquid ethane after removing excess fluid by automatic blotting.

Prior to freezing the sample is maintained in a temperature and humidity controlled environmental chamber, adjustable between +4C and +60C and room humidity to 99%.

The sputter coater Leica EM ACE600 is a high vacuum film deposition system that produces very thin, fine-grained and conductive metal and carbon coatings for highest resolution análisis. It can be configured for Sputtering Carbon thread evaporation. Coating thicknesses range from 2 nm to tens of nanometers.
